B0001 Harness X-Pad (4-Pack)
The Malta Dynamics B0001 Harness X-Pad is a removable comfort pad that cushions the back and shoulders where a full body harness rides hardest. Its "X" shape sits over the dorsal area of the harness and spreads pressure across the upper body, so a crew working a full shift in a roofing or construction harness stays comfortable longer.
The pad is built from high-strength, breathable polyester and attaches with heavy-duty hook-and-loop fasteners, so it installs in seconds and peels off just as easily for laundering or transfer to another harness. The "X" design fits all Malta Dynamics harnesses and many other makes and models. This listing ships as a 4-pack to outfit a small crew at once.

Who Needs This Product
The X-Pad is a comfort accessory for any worker who wears a full body harness for long stretches - roofers, framers, tower and steel crews, solar installers, and general construction. It is not a load-bearing or life-safety component and does not change the rating of the harness; it simply pads the dorsal and shoulder area so the harness webbing is easier to wear all day. The pad fits all Malta Dynamics harnesses and most other brands, and each worker on the crew can have one of their own from this 4-pack.
Features
"X" comfort design
The "X" shape covers the back and shoulder area of the harness and spreads webbing pressure across the upper body for all-day comfort.
Breathable polyester
High-strength, lightweight polyester resists heat buildup so the pad stays cool and comfortable through a full shift.
Hook-and-loop attachment
Heavy-duty hook-and-loop fasteners let the pad install in seconds and remove just as fast - no tools and no rethreading the harness.
Easy to launder
The pad peels off for cleaning or moves to a different harness whenever you need, then reattaches in place.
Universal fit
Designed to fit all Malta Dynamics harnesses and compatible with many other makes and models on the market.
Four-pack value
Ships as a 4-pack so a small crew can each have a pad, or you can keep spares on hand for replacements.

The X-Pad is a comfort accessory, not fall protection. It does not bear load and does not alter the rating, fit, or inspection requirements of your harness. Always wear and adjust the harness per its own user instruction manual, and inspect the harness, lanyard, and anchorage as your fall protection system before each use.
Compliance and Compatibility
Comfort accessory
The X-Pad adds padding to the harness and carries no load rating of its own. The harness it is fitted to remains the rated fall protection component.
Universal harness fit
Designed for all Malta Dynamics full body harnesses and compatible with many other manufacturers' harnesses.
Does not modify the harness
Hook-and-loop attachment adds nothing structural - it does not cut, drill, or alter the harness webbing or hardware.
Made by Malta Dynamics
Backed by a Malta Dynamics Declaration of Conformity and the company's 1-year limited warranty.
Typical Applications
Installation Overview
Install per the Malta Dynamics product instructions. The sequence below is an overview only.
- Position. Lay the harness out and locate the dorsal (back) area and shoulder straps where the "X" pad will sit.
- Open the fasteners. Separate the hook-and-loop closures on the pad.
- Wrap. Place the pad over the harness webbing in the "X" orientation so it covers the back and shoulder straps.
- Secure. Press the hook-and-loop fasteners closed around the webbing so the pad stays put.
- Check the harness. Confirm the harness still fits and adjusts correctly and that no webbing, buckle, or D-ring is obstructed.
- Remove to clean. Peel the pad off for laundering or to move it to another harness whenever needed.
Inspection and Care
The X-Pad is a comfort accessory, but keep it clean and in good shape, and never let it interfere with your harness inspection. Replace a pad if any of the conditions below appear.
- Hook-and-loop fasteners that no longer grip and let the pad slip.
- Polyester fabric that is torn, badly frayed, or saturated with contaminants.
- Any pad placement that covers or obstructs a harness D-ring, buckle, or label.
- Heavy soiling - launder the pad or replace it from your 4-pack.
Inspecting the pad never replaces the required inspection of the harness itself. Always inspect the harness, connector, and anchorage as your fall protection system before each use, per their own manuals.
