Installation Overview
Install per the Malta Dynamics product instructions. The sequence below is an overview only.
- Locate the shoulder straps. Lay the harness out and find the two shoulder straps that pass over the shoulders.
- Open the pads. Open the closures on each shoulder pad.
- Wrap. Place one pad around each shoulder strap so the cushioned side faces the shoulder.
- Secure. Close the fasteners to keep each pad seated on its shoulder strap.
- Check the harness. Confirm the harness still fits and adjusts correctly and that no buckle, D-ring, or label is obstructed.
- Remove to clean. Take the pads off for laundering or to move them to another harness whenever needed.
Inspection and Care
The Shoulder Pads are a comfort accessory, but keep them clean and in good shape, and never let them interfere with your harness inspection. Replace a pad if any of the conditions below appear.
- Fasteners that no longer grip and let a pad slip off the shoulder strap.
- Fabric that is torn, badly frayed, or saturated with contaminants.
- Any pad placement that covers or obstructs a harness D-ring, buckle, adjuster, or label.
- Heavy soiling - launder the pads or replace the pair from your 12-pack.
