The Malta Dynamics Padded Waist Belt adds a cushioned waist support to a full body harness, spreading load across the lower back and hips and giving a comfortable place to rest the body during long shifts. Sizing and Use Overview
Select the correct size and use per the Malta Dynamics product instructions. The sequence below is an overview only.
- Measure the waist. Check the worker's waist measurement against the sizing guide - S-M fits 26 to 36 inches, L-XL fits 32 to 50 inches.
- Pick the Size. Choose B0004 (S-M-L) or B0005 (XL-XXL) from the Size option so the belt fits correctly.
- Attach to the harness. Fit the padded belt to a compatible full body harness per the instructions.
- Adjust. Set the belt so the padded panel sits at the lower back and the support is snug but comfortable.
- Check the harness. Confirm the harness still fits and adjusts correctly and that no D-ring, buckle, or label is obstructed.
- Remove to clean. Take the belt off for laundering or to move it to another harness whenever needed.
Inspection and Care
The waist belt is a comfort and support accessory, but keep it clean and in good shape, and never let it interfere with your harness inspection. Replace a belt if any condition below appears.
- Webbing or padding that is torn, badly frayed, or saturated with contaminants.
- Buckles or adjusters that do not hold, are bent, cracked, or corroded.
- Any belt placement that covers or obstructs a harness D-ring, buckle, or label.
- Heavy soiling - launder the belt or replace it from your 5-pack.
Inspecting the belt never replaces the required inspection of the harness itself. Always inspect the harness, connector, and anchorage as your complete fall protection system before each use, per their own manuals.
