TechLine Temporary Horizontal Rope Lifeline, Two Workers

The TechLine strings a compliant horizontal between two anchors in minutes: 60 ft of 11/16 inch low-stretch kernmantle rope, an in-line shock absorber that caps system forces at 2,500 lb, an adjustable tensioner, and heavy-duty cross-arm straps for the ends. Two workers ride the line at once.

The low-stretch rope cuts deflection, which cuts the fall clearance the system needs below it, the number that decides where an HLL can go.

Who Needs This Product

Temporary HLLs solve the long-edge problem: workers traverse the span clipped to the line instead of re-anchoring every few feet. The TechLine packs the whole system, rope, absorber, tensioner, and end anchors, into one kit that installs without engineering for each setup, per the manual limits.

Features

Complete System Kit

Rope, in-line absorber, tensioner, cross-arm straps, and O-rings arrive together.

Low-Stretch Kernmantle

The 11/16 inch rope minimizes deflection, protecting the clearance below.

In-Line Shock Absorber

Caps system forces at 2,500 lb, protecting workers and anchors alike.

Two-Worker Rating

310 lb each, both on the line at once.

Adjustable Tensioner

Frequently Asked Questions

How many workers can use it?
Two at once, 310 lb each, connected through the included O-rings per the manual.
What anchors the ends?
The included heavy-duty cross-arm straps wrap structure meeting the system anchor requirements in the manual.
Why does rope stretch matter on an HLL?
Line deflection adds directly to fall distance at mid-span. The low-stretch kernmantle keeps the sag, and the clearance requirement, down.
What does the in-line absorber do?
It caps the force the system delivers to workers and anchors at 2,500 lb during an arrest.
Is a 30 ft version available?
Yes, the vendor makes a 30 ft kit; contact us for availability. The 60 ft ships from stock.
Does it need an engineer?
Installation follows the manual within its span and anchor limits; configurations outside them need a qualified person.
How often does it need inspection?
Before each use: rope, absorber, tensioner, straps. Competent person inspection annually and after any arrest.
