TurboLite+ Edge Single Cable PFL, Aluminum captive eye carabiner
The TurboLite+ Edge is the Class 2 member of the PLUS family: a galvanized steel cable lifeline with an integral energy absorber, rated for foot-level tie-off and arrest over a leading edge, where a webbing device is out of its depth. The aluminum one-pin connector mounts the unit flat on the dorsal D-ring.
Certified to ANSI Z359.14-2021 Class 2, CSA SRL-LE listed in the 6 ft length, and rated to 420 lb per OSHA. This MTL-LEP1-63 configuration carries a aluminum captive eye carabiner on the lifeline end.

Who Needs This Product
The Edge single is for deck, slab, and formwork crews whose anchor is at their feet and whose lifeline can meet an edge in a fall. This configuration (captive eye carabiner keeps the connector oriented) matches the hook to the anchor hardware.
Features
Class 2 Edge Rating
Certified for foot-level tie-off and arrest over a leading edge under ANSI Z359.14-2021, the load cases that destroy web devices.
Galvanized Cable Lifeline
Steel cable takes edge contact and abrasion that would saw through webbing.
Integral Energy Absorber
The inline absorber manages the higher forces of foot-level arrest, keeping loads on the worker survivable.
Aluminum captive eye carabiner
The lifeline end carries a aluminum captive eye carabiner, matched to the anchors your crew actually uses.
Aluminum One-Pin Mount
The harness connector pins the unit flat to the dorsal D-ring with no carabiner stack.
Visual Load Indicator
A deployed indicator means the unit has arrested a fall and comes out of service.

Foot-level tie-off demands more clearance. Class 2 arrest from a foot-level anchor produces longer free fall and deeper deceleration than overhead tie-off. Run the clearance numbers for the foot-level case before the first connection, and check the load indicator before every use.
Compliance Standards
ANSI Z359.14-2021 Class 2
Certified as a Class 2 self-retracting device: rated for foot-level tie-off and exposure over a leading edge, the rating Class 1 devices do not carry.
CSA Class SRL-LE
The 6 ft length is listed by the manufacturer as CSA Class SRL-LE for leading edge use on Canadian jobsites.
OSHA 1926.502 and 1910.140
Meets OSHA connecting device requirements for personal fall arrest systems, rated to 420 lb per OSHA.
Leading Edge Tested
The galvanized cable lifeline and integral energy absorber are tested for arrest over an edge, where webbing devices fail.
Typical Applications
Setup Overview
- Inspect the housing, cable, energy absorber, load indicator, and connectors before use.
- Mount the unit to the dorsal D-ring with the aluminum one-pin connector.
- Connect the lifeline end to the anchorage and verify the gate locks.
- For foot-level tie-off, confirm the calculated clearance for Class 2 foot-level arrest.
- Keep the cable away from unguarded sharp edges not part of the work, and verify retraction before working.
Full use instructions and clearance tables ship with the unit.
Inspection and Retirement
Inspect the unit before each use, and have a competent person inspect it on a documented schedule per ANSI Z359.14 and the manual.
- Housing: cracks, distortion, loose fasteners, or a seized swivel.
- Cable: pay it out fully and check for kinks, birdcaging, broken wires, and corrosion.
- Energy absorber: no deployment, tearing, or exposed core.
- Load indicator: any deployment means immediate removal from service.
- Connectors: gates close and lock; the one-pin mount is tight and undamaged.
Retirement triggers: any fall arrest event, deployed load indicator or absorber, cable damage, or any failed inspection.
