Who Needs This Product

The TrussBar is a temporary roof anchor for production builders and framers who need a robust deck-over anchor point during framing and sheeting. It protects all trades through the sheeting stage and is disabled when the roof is finished. Complete the system with full-body harnesses and energy-absorbing connecting devices.

Features

Deck over design

Install on the truss, deck over the top, and the tie-off straps stay exposed for all trades.

Protects all trades

Provides tie-off points during framing and sheeting for everyone on the roof.

Two person fall arrest

Up to two workers can use the TrussBar for fall arrest.

Heavy duty mild steel

Robust steel construction with 2 foot tie-off straps.

Bolt or detent pin

Choose the 2833 bolt attachment or the 2833-DP detent pin attachment.

Disabled at completion

The roofer cuts the straps when the house is finished and the bar is no longer usable.

This is a temporary anchor, not a complete system. A personal energy absorber is required. Install onto framing capable of 5,000 lb, use full-body harnesses with connecting devices, and confirm fall clearance. Run the Fall Protection Calculator below before you tie off.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the 2833-DP?
The Super Anchor 2833-DP TrussBar is the detent pin model of the temporary roof anchor for 2x4 and 2x6 trusses, blue powder coated, with two 6047-C 24 inch truss bar straps and detent pin hardware for fast, tool-free attachment. Only trained workers should select, install, and use fall protection equipment for its intended application. A qualified person should verify that the installation and the overall system meet the requirements of your specific job site.
For the 2833-DP, how does the deck-over design work?
You install the bar on the truss, deck over the top, and feed the tie-off straps up so they stay exposed for all trades until the roof is finished. Before every use, confirm the product is compatible with the rest of your fall protection system and that you have adequate fall clearance below the work area.
For the 2833-DP, how many workers can use it?
Up to two workers for fall arrest or fall restraint. Make sure the connecting hardware and anchorage suit your application before you attach a lanyard or lifeline. Store it in a clean, dry place away from heat and chemicals to help preserve its condition between uses.
Why choose the 2833-DP configuration?
The detent pin 2833-DP installs and moves without wrenches, which pays off for crews that reposition the bar through the framing sequence. Always inspect the product before each use and take it out of service if you notice any damage, deformation, or excessive wear. Before every use, confirm the product is compatible with the rest of your fall protection system and that you have adequate fall clearance below the work area.
For the 2833-DP, is an energy absorber required?
Yes. A personal energy absorber is required for each worker. Make sure the connecting hardware and anchorage suit your application before you attach a lanyard or lifeline. Only trained workers should select, install, and use fall protection equipment for its intended application.
For the 2833-DP, what happens to the bar when the roof is done?
The roofer cuts off the straps. The bar stays attached to the truss but is no longer usable. A correct installation is critical, so confirm the setup matches the manufacturer instructions before any worker ties off. Always inspect the product before each use and take it out of service if you notice any damage, deformation, or excessive wear.
What completes a system with the 2833-DP?
Yes. The anchor is an anchorage point only and must be paired with a full-body harness and a connecting device. Pair it only with connectors and equipment that are approved for use together so the complete system performs as designed. Keep the manufacturer instructions with the equipment so anyone using it can reference the approved procedures.
