DAN75RA-US Patriot Confined Space Davit with 50 ft 3-Way Retrieval, Made in USA

The Frontline DAN75RA-US is the complete Patriot davit rescue package: the 360-degree powder coated steel davit boom with two integrated pulleys, bundled with a 50 ft 3-way retrieval SRL that arrests a fall, then lets the attendant raise or lower the worker without entering the space.

Made in the USA, the removable boom mounts to a permanent base in steel flooring, concrete, or a truck bed - especially useful for tank entry and over-edge rescue. Everything between the opening and the casualty is matched and ready: davit, pulleys, and the integrated 3-way retrieval block. Built to OSHA 1910.146 and ANSI Z359.

Who Needs This Product

This product is a complete confined space davit rescue system - davit, pulleys, and an integrated 3-way retrieval SRL. Confined space teams use it for both entry support and non-entry rescue. It still requires a full body harness and a written, practiced rescue plan to be a complete program.

Features

Non-entry rescue

The attendant raises or lowers a fallen worker from outside the space, so no second person has to enter to perform the rescue.

Two lines, one opening

Fall arrest and retrieval run over the boom at the same time, keeping the worker protected while being lowered, worked, or recovered.

Swing clear to safety

The rotating boom carries the worker away from the hole to a safe landing instead of straight up through the opening.

Removable, shareable boom

The boom lifts off its base to transport between jobs or to serve several pre-installed bases around a site from one arm.

Tank and over-edge ready

The base sets into steel or concrete, or mounts on a truck bed, for tank entry and work over an edge.

Matched and ready

Davit, pulleys, and the 3-way retrieval SRL ship together as one rescue package, so the path from the opening to the worker is complete.

Confined space demands a rescue plan. This equipment is part of an entry and non-entry rescue system, not a substitute for the written, practiced rescue plan OSHA 1910.146 requires. Verify every anchorage, base, and connection per the Frontline manual before any entry, and train your team first.

How to Use the DAN75RA-US

Follow the manufacturer's manual. The sequence below is an overview only.

  1. Inspect. Check all load-bearing parts, moving parts, and the line before each use.
  2. Set up per the manual. Install and rig exactly as the Frontline manual specifies.
  3. Rig the system. Run the retrieval and/or fall arrest lines through the correct points.
  4. Connect the worker. Attach the harness per the rescue plan.
  5. Function-test. Test retrieval and confirm the plan with the attendant before entry.

Inspection and Retirement

Inspect before each use, with a documented competent-person inspection at least every 6 months. Pull the equipment from service for any of the conditions below.

  • Visual: deformation, cracks, corrosion, or damaged welds on load-bearing parts.
  • Moving parts: pulleys, swivels, winch drum, and locks operate freely and lock positively.
  • Line/cable: no broken wires, kinks, fraying, or corrosion; spools cleanly.
  • Connectors and fasteners: present, correct, and fully engaged per the manual.
  • Labels and markings: present and legible.

Retire the equipment immediately after any fall arrest event or if any inspection point fails. Destroy retired equipment so it cannot return to service.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Frontline DAN75RA-US package?
The DAN75RA-US is the complete Patriot davit rescue package: the 360-degree powder-coated steel davit boom with two integrated pulleys, bundled with a 50 ft 3-way retrieval SRL that arrests a fall and then lets the attendant raise or lower the worker without entering the space. It is made in the USA and built to OSHA 1910.146 and ANSI Z359.
What is a 3-way retrieval SRL and how does it work?
A 3-way SRL arrests a fall like a standard self-retracting lifeline, then switches to a retrieval mode so the attendant can crank the worker up or down for a non-entry rescue. It combines fall arrest and rescue retrieval in one block on the davit.
What does this include compared with the DAN75-US?
The DAN75RA-US adds the 50 ft 3-way retrieval SRL to the davit, so the boom, pulleys, and retrieval block arrive matched and ready. The DAN75-US is the davit only, without the retrieval block.
Where does the base mount?
The permanent base sets into steel flooring or concrete, or mounts on a truck bed, and the boom is removable so one boom serves multiple bases. It is especially suited to tank entry and over-edge rescue.
Do I still need anything else?
Yes - a full-body harness for the entrant and a trained attendant to operate the retrieval. The davit, pulleys, and 3-way retrieval block are matched in the package, so the rescue path between the opening and the worker is complete.
How deep can it retrieve?
The included 3-way retrieval SRL is 50 ft, so match your working and rescue depth to that range. For greater depth, pair the davit with a longer retrieval winch within the system.
Is the DAN75RA-US OSHA compliant?
Yes - it is built to OSHA 29 CFR 1910.146 for permit-required confined spaces, plus ANSI Z359 and OSHA 1926, and is made in the USA. Rig and operate it per the Frontline manual with trained personnel.
