PSSW2R-US Patriot Positioning Chain with Swiveling Hook, Made in USA
The Frontline PSSW2R-US is the Patriot edition of the rebar positioning chain - proudly made in the USA using US and imported components, for crews and contracts that spec American-made equipment.
High strength 1/4 in twist link zinc plated chains meet a forged galvanized steel swivel and zinc chromate plated forged alloy steel double locking snaphooks and rebar hook - every hook 100 percent proof load tested. 22 in bearing to bearing, 310 lb user capacity, manufactured and tested by a UL registered ISO 9001:2015 firm to ANSI A10.32, OSHA 1910 and 1926.

Who Needs This Product
This product is a rebar positioning chain assembly - the ironworker's third hand. Clip the swivel rebar hook to the curtain, lean back into the harness side D-rings, and both hands are free to tie. Chain shrugs off the hot, abrasive, torch-adjacent work that destroys webbing positioning devices. Use with a harness positioning system; a separate fall arrest system is still required.

Positioning is not fall arrest. A positioning chain holds you in place at the work - it does not catch a fall. OSHA requires an independent personal fall arrest system in addition to positioning. Inspect the chain, hooks, and swivel before each use, and connect only per the Frontline manual.
Compliance Standards
ANSI A10.32
Fall protection requirements for construction and demolition operations.
OSHA 29 CFR 1926.502

Typical Applications
How to Use the PSSW2R-US
Follow the manufacturer's manual. The sequence below is an overview only.
- Inspect. Check chain, hooks, swivel, and gates before each use.
- Connect to the work. Clip the swivel rebar hook over the rebar or member.
- Connect to the harness. Snap the side hooks to both positioning D-rings.
- Load and lean. Set your stance and lean into the system - hands free.
- Keep arrest separate. Maintain your independent fall arrest connection at all times.
Inspection and Retirement
Inspect before each use, with a documented competent-person inspection at least every 6 months. Pull the equipment from service for any of the conditions below.
- Chain links: stretch, deformation, nicks, gouges, or corrosion.
- Hooks: deformation, cracks, corrosion, or gates that fail to close and double-lock.
- Swivel: free rotation, no play or cracking at the bearing.
- Connection points: wear at the union and end fittings.
- Markings: labels must be present and legible.
Retire the assembly immediately after any fall event, any dropped-load shock, or if any inspection point fails. Destroy retired equipment so it cannot return to service.
