Seraph Construction Harness with Waist Pad, XS to XXL
The Guardian Seraph builds lumbar support into the harness: an integrated waist pad that spreads tool and suspension loads across the lower back, over pass-through chest and tongue-buckle leg buckles. Stocked in three sizes from XS-S (3711172) through XL-XXL (3711174), one of the few premium harnesses stocked down to extra small.
Certified to ANSI Z359.11 and compliant with OSHA 1910.140 and 1926.502 at the capacities in the manual.

Guardian harnesses sold as Universal or S-L span the Small and M-L bands, and XL-XXL spans the XL and 2XL bands. Based on the manufacturer's published Guardian sizing chart; verify fit per the instruction manual before first use.
Who Needs This Product
The waist pad is the Seraph argument: workers who carry pouches or spend time in partial suspension feel lower-back load first, and the pad turns the harness waist into support instead of a pressure line. The XS-S size extends the premium fit range to smaller workers most lines ignore.

Fit before the first step up. Adjust the harness so the dorsal D-ring sits between the shoulder blades, the chest strap crosses mid-chest, and leg straps allow a flat hand but not a fist. Retire any harness that has arrested a fall.

Typical Applications
Donning Overview
Donning must follow the Guardian instruction manual for this harness. The sequence below is an overview only.
- Inspect first. Check webbing, stitching, D-rings, and buckles before every use.
- Shake out and orient. Hold by the dorsal D-ring; straps fall into place without twists.
- Arms through. Put the harness on like a jacket, shoulder straps over both shoulders.
- Buckle the chest. Connect the chest buckle at mid-chest height.
- Buckle the legs. Connect each leg strap; snug so a flat hand fits but a fist does not.
- Adjust and check. Set all adjustment points and confirm the dorsal D-ring sits between the shoulder blades.
Inspection and Retirement
Inspect before every use, and have a competent person perform a documented inspection at least every six months under ANSI Z359.2 practice. Remove the harness from service for any of the conditions below.
- Webbing: cuts, fraying, abrasion, burns, or chemical damage.
- Stitching: broken, pulled, or abraded threads at load-bearing junctions.
- Hardware: cracks, corrosion, or deformation of D-rings and buckles.
- Impact indicators: any deployment (models so equipped).
- Labels: missing or illegible.
Retirement triggers: any fall arrest event, a deployed impact indicator, or any condition where the inspector cannot positively verify the harness is fit for service.
