ALM Flashlight and Mount System
The Malta Dynamics ALM Flashlight and Mount System pairs a Streamlight 2AAA ProPolymer HAZ-LO intrinsically safe flashlight with an articulated light mount that snaps into the integrated receiver clip on a Malta Dynamics face shield. The mount accepts one light on each side of the visor - up to two lights total - and the head adjusts in, out, up, or down to aim the beam exactly where the work is.
Rated ATPV 65 cal/cm-squared and built to NFPA 70E, this is professional-grade gear used by firefighters, military, and industrial crews. The HAZ-LO light is intrinsically safe for hazardous locations, non-conductive, and waterproof, rated IPX4, delivering 60 lumens and an 800-candela beam out to 57 meters with a 16-hour runtime on two AAA batteries.

Who Needs This Product
This system is for crews who work behind a Malta Dynamics face shield in low light or hazardous locations - arc-flash, confined space, and industrial maintenance work where a handheld light is impractical and an ordinary flashlight is not rated for the atmosphere. The Streamlight HAZ-LO is intrinsically safe for explosive and flammable environments. The mount attaches the light to the face shield so both hands stay on the task, and the kit includes the flashlight and articulated mount.
Features
Intrinsically safe light
The Streamlight 2AAA ProPolymer HAZ-LO is rated for hazardous locations, making it safe to use in flammable and explosive atmospheres.
Arc-rated to 65 cal
An ATPV of 65 cal/cm-squared and NFPA 70E compliance make the system suited to arc-flash work environments.
Snap-in face shield mount
The light mounts to the integrated snap-in receiver clip on the visor; run one light on each side for a total of two lights.
Fully adjustable aim
The articulated mount head adjusts in, out, up, or down so the beam points exactly where the crew is working.
Bright, long-running beam
60 lumens and 800 candela reach 57 meters with a textured reflector for blended, peripheral light - 16 hours on two AAA batteries.
Tough and non-conductive
Impact- and chemical-resistant polymer construction, non-conductive, and IPX4-rated waterproof for jobsite durability.

Use the right battery for the safety rating. The HAZ-LO flashlight is intrinsically safe only when used with the approved AAA batteries listed on the spec sheet. Substituting an unlisted battery can void the hazardous-location rating. Mount the light to the integrated receiver clip on a compatible Malta Dynamics face shield, and keep ANSI Z87.1 eye protection under the shield.
Compliance Standards
NFPA 70E
Standard for electrical safety in the workplace; the system carries an ATPV of 65 cal/cm-squared for arc-flash work.
Intrinsically Safe (Class I, II, III)
The HAZ-LO flashlight is rated for hazardous locations - Class I, II, Division 1, Groups A-G; Class III.
ATEX and IECEx
Listed II 1G Ex ia IIC T4 Ga under FTZU 16 ATEX 0057X and IECEx FTZU 16.0016X per the spec sheet.

Typical Applications
Setup Overview
Install per the instructions from Streamlight and Malta Dynamics. The sequence below is an overview only.
- Load the light. Install two approved AAA batteries to keep the intrinsically safe rating.
- Mount it. Snap the articulated mount into the integrated receiver clip on the face shield - one per side if running two.
- Aim the beam. Adjust the mount head in, out, up, or down to point the light at the work.
- Wear eye protection. Keep ANSI Z87.1-approved safety glasses or goggles under the face shield.
- Operate. Use the push-button tail switch for one-handed on/off, even with gloves.
- Inspect. Check the light, mount, and receiver clip before each use.
Inspection and Care
Inspect the flashlight and mount before each use. Remove from service for any of the conditions below.
- Flashlight: cracked housing, damaged lens, or a tail switch that does not operate cleanly.
- Batteries: corrosion or an unapproved battery type that voids the intrinsically safe rating.
- Mount: broken snap-in tabs or an articulation that no longer holds aim.
- Receiver clip: a loose or damaged clip on the face shield.
Wipe the light and mount clean; the thermoplastic resists chemicals and solvents. Store with batteries removed for long-term storage and keep away from extreme heat.
