6 ft Wild Boar Twin-Leg Personal SRL, Class 1-P
The Malta Dynamics 6 ft Wild Boar Twin-Leg Personal SRL pairs two compact, palm-sized self-retracting lifelines with an included C1004 dual connector so a worker stays 100 percent tied off while moving between anchor points. Impact-resistant polymer housings and high-strength UHMWPE and polyester lifelines keep the rig light, and 360-degree swivel tops let the worker turn and move without twisting either line.
Rated as Class 1-P devices for anchorage at or above the dorsal D-ring, the pair supports a single worker from 130 to 310 lb with a maximum arresting force of 1,800 lbf, an average arresting force of 1,350 lbf, and a maximum arresting distance of 42 inches. Choose twin snap hooks (C4102D) or twin wide-gate rebar hooks (C4103D). Working on one anchor point only? See the single-leg Wild Boar Personal SRL. Tested to ANSI Z359.14-2021 and OSHA standards.

Who Needs This Product
The Wild Boar Twin-Leg Personal SRL is for workers who must stay attached while moving between anchor points - climbing a tower, crossing steel, or transferring across a roof - where a single SRL would leave a moment of disconnection. The two SRLs join through an included C1004 dual connector so one leg is always tied off while the other is repositioned, giving continuous 100 percent tie-off. Each worker still needs an ANSI full body harness and a compatible overhead anchorage at or above the dorsal D-ring. If your work stays on one anchor point, the single-leg version is the lighter, lower-cost choice.
Features
Dual 100 percent tie-off
Two personal SRLs joined by an included C1004 dual connector keep a worker attached at all times while transferring between anchor points.
Included C1004 connector
The twin-leg rig ships with the C1004 dual SRL connector carabiner, so the 100 percent tie-off setup arrives complete and ready to use.
Palm-sized SRL housings
Each Class 1-P unit fits in the palm of your hand, keeping the twin-leg rig low-profile for tight, elevated, and confined work areas.
360-degree swivel tops
Swivel anchorage tops let the worker move and turn freely while each lifeline pays out and retracts without twisting.
Two hook options
Choose twin steel snap hooks for everyday anchorage or twin wide-gate rebar hooks for larger anchor points such as rebar and scaffolding.
External shock packs
External shock packs with protective covers dissipate arresting force, and impact-resistant polymer housings stand up to heavy jobsite use.

For overhead use only. The Wild Boar Twin-Leg Personal SRL is a Class 1-P device rated for anchorage at or above the dorsal D-ring. Confirm your anchorage meets the strength requirement, calculate fall clearance and swing-fall clearance before each use, keep one leg connected at all times while transferring, and never use a damaged unit or one that has arrested a fall. Each worker also needs an ANSI full body harness.
Compliance Standards
ANSI/ASSP Z359.14-2021
The current ANSI standard for self-retracting devices. Each Wild Boar Personal SRL is tested as a Class 1-P (personal) device.
OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Subpart M
Construction fall protection, including personal fall arrest system requirements under 1926.502.
OSHA 29 CFR 1926.502
Fall protection systems criteria and practices for construction work.
OSHA 29 CFR 1910 / 1910.66
General industry personal fall arrest requirements covering anchorage and connecting devices.
Typical Applications
Use Overview
Use per the Malta Dynamics self-retracting lifeline instruction manual. The sequence below is an overview only.
- Inspect. Check both housings, lifelines, swivels, hook gates, the C1004 connector, and shock packs before each use, and confirm neither load indicator has deployed.
- Connect the rig. Join both SRLs to the dorsal D-ring through the included C1004 dual connector.
- Don the harness. Put on an ANSI full body harness and confirm a snug fit.
- Anchor overhead. Clip the first SRL hook to an anchorage at or above the dorsal D-ring that meets the system strength requirement.
- Verify clearance. Calculate required fall clearance and swing-fall clearance below the work surface before starting work.
- Transfer tied off. To move, clip the second leg to the next anchor before releasing the first, so one leg is always attached.
Inspection and Retirement
Inspect before each use, with a documented competent-person inspection at least every six months (or more often per your program). Remove the SRL or connector from service for any of the conditions below.
- Housings: cracks, deformation, or impact damage on either unit.
- Lifelines: cuts, frays, burns, chemical damage, or pulled stitches.
- Retraction: a line that does not retract smoothly or fails to lock when pulled sharply.
- Hooks, connector, and swivels: bent gate, weak gate spring, corrosion, or a swivel that binds, including the C1004 dual connector.
- Shock packs and indicators: any sign an energy absorber or load indicator has deployed.
- Labels: must remain legible and intact.
Retirement triggers: any fall-arrest event, a deployed shock pack or load indicator, or any cut, burn, or housing crack. Remove the affected unit from service immediately and tag it so it cannot be reused.
