ValueGrab 4015-V Rope Grab with Snaphook, 2-Pack
The Super Anchor 4015-V ValueGrab is a prussic style rope grab for SAS 5/8 inch synthetic lifelines with a factory swaged Z359 snaphook, so the connecting device is permanently part of the grab. The 7/16 inch nylon and polyester prussic carries a 7,400 lb tensile strength, locks in both directions, and decelerates a fall in a maximum of 12 inches when used with a personal energy absorber.
What is included: 2 ValueGrab 4015-V rope grabs, each with a factory attached 3,600 lb gate strength snaphook. The aluminum swage and eye thimble act as the fall indicator, deforming when subjected to a free fall. Like the SuperGrab, the ValueGrab is approved for reverse rigging and is compliant with OSHA 1926.502.

Who Needs This Product
Crews that want a prussic rope grab with the connector already built in. The swaged snaphook removes a separate carabiner purchase and a potential compatibility mistake, which makes the ValueGrab the simple choice for residential roofers, punch-out crews, and companies outfitting multiple workers. Each grab connects through a personal energy absorber to a full body harness on a 5/8 inch SAS lifeline, and the ValueGrab is one of the two SAS grabs rated for reverse rigging with the grab at the anchorage point. Not a standalone device; always use as part of a complete personal fall arrest system.
Features
Factory swaged snaphook
A Z359 snaphook with 3,600 lb gate strength is professionally swaged onto the grab, providing a permanent, always-compatible connecting device.
Prussic knot grip
Maintains its hold on the lifeline even when wet or frozen and stays flexible as it expands and contracts with the rope.
Dual direction locking
Force in either direction initiates the lock with only a few inches of slip under extreme force.
Fall indicator thimble
The eye thimble and aluminum swage deform when subjected to a free fall, flagging the grab for removal from service.
Reverse rigging approved
Attach the ValueGrab to the anchorage point and the lifeline end to the harness to eliminate trailing rope.
Metal roof friendly
The soft prussic resists snagging and will not scratch standing seam or painted metal panels.

Never grab the lifeline above the rope grab, or the rope grab itself, during a fall. Connect the snaphook to a personal energy absorber, never directly to the harness dorsal or side D-ring. Do not apply lubricants, and always tie a limiter knot near the lifeline end so the grab cannot slide off the rope.
Compliance Standards
OSHA 1926.502
Meets federal construction fall protection criteria for personal fall arrest system components.
Dept. of Labor Letter
SuperGrab and ValueGrab prussic rope grabs are supported by a Department of Labor compliance letter.
ANSI Z359.12-2009
The factory swaged snaphook is a class 1 connector with 3,600 lb gate strength, also meeting CSA Z259.12-11.
CSA Certified Lifelines
Pairs with SAS 3-strand, 12-strand, X-Line, and Maxima lifelines carrying CSA RMRP and XLI certifications.
Typical Applications
Installation Overview
Full rigging figures, function tests, and the reverse rigging addendum are in the manuals linked below. The basics:
- Attach the lifeline A-end to an OSHA or ANSI compliant anchorage device with a class 1 connector.
- Confirm the ValueGrab has 6 full wraps around the lifeline, adjusted snug.
- Clip the factory snaphook to your personal energy absorber, and connect the absorber to the harness dorsal D-ring.
- Tie a limiter knot approximately 12 inches from the lifeline B-end to prevent unintentional disengagement.
- Adjust working position by holding the wraps and pulling the lifeline in the opposite direction.
- Perform the lock test before each use: the grab knot must not move when loaded from the A-end, and must move easily when held open.
Inspection and Retirement
Inspect before installation and each use, with documented annual inspections. Remove the equipment from service when any of the following apply:
- The eye thimble is deformed or missing, or the swage is cracked or loose.
- Prussic strands are cut, hocked, or heat damaged.
- Fewer than 6 rope wraps are present; add wraps as needed before use.
- The snaphook fails the gate lock, gate open, or gate close function tests, or rivets are missing.
- PID or inspection labels are missing.
- The grab was subjected to a free fall.
Tag equipment removed from service to prevent further use until inspected by a qualified or competent person.
