The lightweight, compact FT-R Class 1 SRL-R serves as both a self-retracting lifeline and a rapid-activation retrieval device, so one head-sheave setup covers fall arrest, entry, and non-entry rescue.

Class 1 Anchoring

A kit covers the equipment, not the program. OSHA 1910.146 still requires atmospheric testing, an attendant, and a written permit program for permit-required spaces. This system provides the anchor, lifting, and retrieval hardware that program calls for.

Typical Applications
How to Use
Follow the FallTech instruction manuals for the tripod and SRL-R. The sequence below is an overview only.
- Set the tripod. Position it over the portal, extend the legs to the working height, and secure the leg safety chain.
- Mount the device. Attach the SRL-R to the leg bracket and route the line over the head sheave.
- Connect the entrant. Attach the lifeline to the dorsal D-ring. The SRL-R provides fall arrest during work and converts to retrieval for rescue.
Inspection and Retirement
Inspect each component before use following its manual. A competent person must inspect the full system at least annually.
- Tripod: legs, pins, sheaves, feet, and safety chain.
- SRL-R: housing, lifeline, snap hook, brakes, and retrieval mode.
- Connectors: gates close and lock fully; no cracks or corrosion.
- Bags and labels: labels legible; date of first use recorded.
Retirement triggers: an arrested fall, failed inspection, illegible labels, or damage found on any component. Remove the affected component from service immediately.
