Who Needs This Product

This product is a web pass-through sling anchor, the anchorage component of a personal fall arrest system. Steel, roofing, and maintenance crews wrap it around a rated beam or column to create a tie-off point, then connect an SRL or energy-absorbing lanyard. You still need a certified full-body harness and a compatible connecting device to complete the system.

How to Install

Follow the FallTech instruction manual. The sequence below is an overview only.

  3. Wrap the structure. Pass the anchor around the beam, column, or member in the approved configuration.
  4. Connect. Attach your SRL or energy-absorbing lanyard to the anchor connection point.
  5. Check clearance. Confirm fall clearance and swing-fall with the calculator below.

Inspection and Retirement

Inspect before each use, with a documented competent-person inspection at least annually. Remove the anchor from service for any of the conditions below.

  • Webbing: cuts, frays, pulls, burns, chemical damage, or heavy abrasion.
  • Stitching: broken, cut, or worn stitches at the loops and D-ring.
  • Hardware (D-ring or thimble): deformation, sharp edges, cracks, or corrosion.
  • Labels: illegible or missing markings.

Remove the anchor from service immediately after any fall-arrest event, and destroy retired equipment so it cannot return to service.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does a pass-through sling anchor work?
You wrap the sling around a rated beam or column and pass one end through the other to cinch it on. The connection point is then ready for your SRL or lanyard.
What lengths are available?
This anchor comes in 2', 3', 4', 6', 8', 10', 12', 14', 20', 24', 30'. Pick a length that wraps your structure with the connection point clear.
What is the wear pad for?
The heavy-duty wear pad protects the webbing where it contacts the structure, extending the service life of the sling.
What is the rated strength and capacity?
It has a minimum breaking strength of 5,000 lb (22.2 kN) and is certified to ANSI Z359.18-2017 for one worker up to 310 lb.
Is it certified for Canada?
Yes. The web pass-through sling anchor is certified to both ANSI Z359.18-2017 and CSA.
Can I use it over a sharp edge?
Not directly. Web slings can be cut. Use edge protection and confirm the structure is free of sharp, jagged, or abrasive edges.
