Manual Stainless Steel Rope Grab
The 8174 rides the vertical lifeline so the worker does not manage it: the trailing design follows the climb hands-free on 5/8 or 3/4 inch rope, and the cam locks onto the line the instant a fall loads it. Stainless steel construction keeps it working through weather and years.
Built for vertical lifeline systems on roofs, towers, and suspended work, compatible with standard fall protection components.

Who Needs This Product
Rope grabs make vertical lifelines practical: the climber moves, the grab follows, and the lock happens faster than a human could react. Stainless construction earns its keep on roofing crews and window rigs where the grab lives outdoors on a wet rope.
