Vertical Rope Lifeline, Poly Blend with Snap Hook

The 300L is the working end of a vertical system: a co-polymer blend of polypropylene and high-modulus polyethylene that resists abrasion beyond pure polyester while keeping elongation just as low, finished with a locking snap hook and thimble at the anchor end.

Lightweight and compact for its strength, the 50 ft stocked length covers standard roof and structure verticals.

Who Needs This Product

Lifeline rope earns its keep at the edge: dragging over parapets, wet mornings, and UV afternoons. The co-polymer blend was chosen for exactly that duty, outwearing pure polypropylene while holding the low stretch that keeps rope grab arrest distances predictable.

Features

Co-Polymer Construction

Polypropylene blended with high-modulus polyethylene for superior abrasion resistance.

Low Elongation

Stability equivalent to pure polyester ropes keeps arrest math predictable.

Spliced Snap Hook

The locking hook arrives spliced and thimble-protected, ready to clip the anchor.

Grab Compatible

Sized for standard rope grabs including the Miller 8174.

Lightweight Handling

Easy to coil, carry, and rig repeatedly.

Built for construction and roofing service.

Compliance Standards

OSHA 1926.502 Anchorage

Anchorages for fall arrest must support 5,000 lb per worker attached, or maintain a safety factor of two under a qualified person.

ANSI Z359 Practice

Anchorage connectors follow ANSI Z359 component practice with 5,000 lb rated hardware.

ANSI Z359.2

Kept in service through pre-use checks and documented competent person inspections at least annually.

Full installation instructions ship with the product.

Inspection and Retirement

Inspect before each use and have a competent person inspect at least annually per ANSI Z359.2.

  • Webbing or body: cuts, frays, corrosion, cracks, distortion, or damage.
  • D-rings and hooks: no cracks, corrosion, distortion; gates lock where fitted.

Frequently Asked Questions

What rope grab pairs with it?
Standard 5/8 inch grabs including the Miller 8174 and 8174MLS4 assemblies.
Why a blend instead of polyester?
The co-polymer adds abrasion resistance and cuts weight while matching polyester's low stretch, the property that keeps grab arrest distances short.
What lengths exist?
The vendor makes 10 through 500 ft; the 50 ft ships from stock. Contact us for other lengths.
How does it anchor?
The spliced locking snap hook clips to a rated anchor or anchorage connector at the top of the vertical.
Does rope stretch matter?
Yes: elongation adds to fall distance before the grab arrests. Low-stretch rope is a safety property, not a comfort one.
How should it be stored?
Clean, dry, and coiled, out of UV when not rigged; the jacket resists the elements but storage extends life.
How often does it need inspection?
Before each use along the full length: cuts, fraying, glazing, soft spots. Competent person inspection annually.
