Who Needs This Product

The Titan+ is for budgets that need a compliant full-size cable SRL on every anchor without premium-line pricing: rental fleets, multi-anchor sites, and contractors outfitting several overhead stations at once. It gives up the corrosion-proof internals and side payout of the Falcon+, not the certification.

Features

Most Cost-Effective Full-Size

The lowest-cost cable SRL in the Miller range that still carries the full 420 lb OSHA rating.

Rugged Overhead Design

Built to mount above the work and take the knocks of a working anchor point.

High-Impact Nylon Housing

The housing shrugs off drops and drags that crack lesser shells.

UV-Resistant Labeling

Scratch-resistant graphics keep capacity and inspection data legible outdoors.

Steel Carabiner Mount

The included carabiner hangs the unit from the anchor in seconds.

Swivel Snap Hook

The swivel hook keeps the cable running true as the worker moves.

Titan Value Line

The Titan name is Miller's value tier: full certification with a simplified feature set.

UV-Resistant Marking

Typical Applications

Multi-anchor sites outfitting several overhead stations at once.
Rental and loaner equipment fleets.
General construction overhead tie-off.
Warehouse docks and mezzanines.
Maintenance anchors used a few times a month.
Budget-driven compliance programs that still demand a name brand.

Setup Overview

  1. Inspect the housing, cable, load indicator, and connectors before use.
  2. Mount the unit to an overhead anchorage rated for fall arrest using the top swivel connector.
  3. Connect the lifeline snap hook to the harness dorsal D-ring and verify the gate locks.
  4. Check retraction and brake lock-up with a sharp pull before committing to the system.
  5. Verify fall clearance below the work level and keep the lifeline clear of edges not rated for contact.

Full use instructions and clearance tables ship with the unit.

Inspection and Retirement

Inspect the unit before each use, and have a competent person inspect it on a documented schedule per ANSI Z359.14 and the manual.

  • Housing: cracks, distortion, loose fasteners, or a seized swivel.
  • Cable: pay it out fully and check for kinks, birdcaging, broken wires, and corrosion.
  • Load indicator and absorber: any deployment means immediate removal from service.
  • Connectors: gates close and lock; no cracks, corrosion, or distortion.
  • Retraction and brake: smooth retraction and a positive lock on a sharp pull.

Retirement triggers: any fall arrest event, deployed indicator or absorber, cable damage, or any failed inspection.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is the Titan+ different from the Falcon+?
The Falcon+ adds corrosion-resistant stainless and aluminum internals and the side payout design for heavy daily use. The Titan+ keeps the same OSHA 420 lb rating and overhead certification in a simpler, more affordable package.
Which length should I pick?
Choose the shortest length that covers the working area from the anchor; 30 and 50 ft ship from stock.
Where should it be anchored?
Overhead, at or above the level that keeps the cable near vertical over the worker.
Is it OK outdoors?
Yes, with the UV-resistant labeling and impact housing. For permanently wet or corrosive service, step up to the Falcon+ with stainless internals.
What is the capacity?
420 lb per OSHA including the worker, clothing, and tools. Under ANSI-based programs, follow the capacity on the device label.
Does this unit need annual factory recertification?
No. Factory recertification is not required on this series; keep the unit in service with pre-use checks and documented competent person inspections per the manual.
How often does it need inspection?
Inspect before each use: housing, full cable payout, load indicator, retraction, brake lock-up, and connectors. A competent person inspects it on a documented schedule per ANSI Z359.14 and the manual.
