Tie Down PX5 Rescue Winch Assembly with 100 ft Galvanized Lifeline
The PX5 Rescue Winch Assembly mounts to the PX5 Original (72838) and PX5 Sentinel (72833) carts and carries 100 ft of galvanized steel lifeline on a manual winch with a folding handle. A rescuer on the roof raises a fallen worker back to the deck or lowers them to grade in minutes.
A swivel snap hook with an impact indicator connects to the fallen worker and the system stores in its carry bag, in the Sentinel's material box or on the PX5. Per the Tie Down manual the winch is for membrane and deck applications; it cannot be used when the Sentinel is set up for concrete.

Who Needs This Product
Any crew working from a PX5 Original or PX5 Sentinel on a membrane, metal deck or plywood roof. OSHA 1926.502(d)(20) requires a prompt rescue plan for every worker in fall arrest, and with up to five workers in arrest on a PX5 the crew needs a way to raise or lower a coworker immediately.
Features
100 ft of lifeline
Galvanized steel cable long enough to lower a worker to grade or raise them back to the deck on most low rise commercial roofs.
Manual winch
Hand cranked with a folding handle, no power on the roof.
Impact indicator hook
The swivel snap hook shows when it has taken a fall load so it can be retired.
Mounts to both PX5 carts
Fits the PX5 Original and the PX5 Sentinel; the installation videos below show the mount.
Stores on the cart
Comes in a carry bag that fits the Sentinel material box.
Completes the rescue plan
Pair it with a written plan and trained rescuers who tie off to the remaining cart points.
Not for concrete applications. The Tie Down manual states the rescue winch cannot be used when the PX5 Sentinel is set up on concrete. Plan a separate rescue method for concrete work. The winch is rescue equipment, not a fall arrest tie-off point.

How to Use

- Mount the winch. Attach to the PX5 per the Tie Down installation guide before work begins.
- Pay out the lifeline. Lower the swivel snap hook to the fallen worker and connect it to the harness.
- Transfer the load. Crank to take the worker's weight off the arresting device.
- Raise or lower. Bring the worker back to the deck or down to grade per the rescue plan.
- Retire after a fall. Check the impact indicator and remove loaded components from service.
Inspection and Retirement
Inspect before each use, with a documented competent person inspection at least annually. Remove the system from service for any of the conditions below.
- Lifeline: broken wires, kinks, corrosion, birdcaging.
- Winch and handle: a drum or brake that slips, a handle that will not fold or lock.
- Swivel snap hook: a tripped impact indicator, bent gate, gate that will not lock.
- Mount hardware: cracks, bends or missing pins.

Remove the system from service immediately after any fall arrest event and have it inspected by a competent person before it returns to use.
