Ridge-It 00500 Permanent Roof Anchor, Factory Case of 50

The Guardian 00512 is the production builder format of the Ridge-It: a factory case of fifty 00500 permanent roof anchors, the 9.75 in single D-ring model with integrated butyl seals, at the lowest per-anchor price in the line. One case covers a subdivision phase or a season of re-roofs.

Each anchor installs permanently per the Ridge-It manual and serves one worker under OSHA 1926.502 and 1910.140.

Who Needs This Product

Production builders and large roofing operations that leave a permanent anchor on every house buy by the case: fifty anchors, one purchase order, one per-unit price that the 3-packs cannot touch. The anchors are identical to the 00500 sold in small packs, stainless and zinc-plated steel, butyl-sealed, shingled over with only the D-ring exposed.

Installation Overview

Installation must follow the Guardian instruction manual for this anchor. The sequence below is an overview only.

  1. Inspect first. Check the anchor body, connection point, and hardware before every installation.
  2. Verify the structure. The supporting structure must meet the strength requirements in the instruction manual.
  3. Install per the manual. Follow the substrate, fastener, and orientation requirements exactly; fill every required fastener position.
  4. Verify the connection. Confirm the anchor is fully seated and the connection point is accessible and undamaged.
  5. Connect the system. Attach a compatible connecting device and verify the complete personal fall arrest system with a competent person.
  6. Check clearance. Confirm fall clearance below the work area and minimize swing fall hazards before work begins.

Inspection and Retirement

Inspect before every use, and have a competent person perform a documented inspection at least every six months under ANSI Z359.2 practice. Remove the anchor from service for any of the conditions below.

  • Cracks, corrosion, or deformation of the body, connection point, or welds.
  • Loose, missing, damaged, or worn hardware and fasteners.
  • Elongation or wear at the D-ring or connection eye.
  • Missing or illegible labels.
  • Any evidence the anchor has arrested a fall.

Retirement triggers: any fall event on the anchor, or any condition where the inspector cannot positively verify it is fit for service.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many anchors are in the case?
Fifty Guardian 00500 Ridge-It anchors, the 9.75 in single D-ring permanent model, in factory case packaging. Fasteners ship per the factory case configuration; verify nail counts against the manual when planning installs.
Who buys the 50-case?
Production home builders installing a permanent anchor on every roof, large re-roofing operations, and solar companies that standardize on leaving compliant anchorage behind. At case pricing, the anchor becomes a line item instead of a decision.
Is this the same anchor as the 00500 3-pack?
Identical anchor. The case is purely a volume format: same stainless and zinc-plated steel construction, same butyl watertight seal, same permanent one-time installation per the Ridge-It manual.
When should this product be retired?
Retire it after any fall event, any failed inspection item, or whenever an inspector cannot positively verify it is fit for service. The inspection criteria in the linked documentation define the pass-fail conditions.
Is documentation available for submittal packages?
Yes. The manufacturer documentation linked on this page covers installation, specifications, and compliance, and every file is hosted on our site for direct download into your submittal package.
What standards does the Ridge-It anchor meet?
Each Ridge-It anchor in the case is the same ANSI Z359.18 certified anchorage connector as the 00500, meeting OSHA 1926.502 and 1910.140 requirements when installed per the manual as part of a complete personal fall arrest system. The test report in the documentation section below applies to every unit in the case.
How fast does this product ship?
It is stocked for shipment in 1 business day, and shipping cost is calculated based on the delivery location at checkout.
