The Malta Dynamics High Temp / Impact Toric Face Shield features an injection-molded clear polycarbonate window for high-temperature and high-impact applications. Rated for severe industrial service, it protects machining, grinding, and chemical-splash workers with a durable, clear window that meets ANSI Z87.1+ high-impact requirements.
The toric shape gives a wide peripheral view, excellent downward vision, and reduced internal glare, while the integrated chin protector guards against hazards from below, such as debris and splash. The LeverLock hole pattern is compatible with Paulson weight-compensating brackets for slotted cap hard hats and safety helmets.

This clear window protects against high impact, heat, debris, and chemical splash, but it is a secondary protector and must be worn with primary eye protection - safety glasses or goggles - underneath. The hard hat or safety helmet and the weight-compensating cap bracket are sold separately. Inspect the window before each use and replace it after any forcible impact.

Typical Applications
Fitting Overview
Fit and use per the Malta Dynamics and Paulson product instructions. The sequence below is an overview only.
- Inspect. Check the window, chin protector, and LeverLock pattern for cracks, scratches, or damage before each use.
- Mount the bracket. Install the weight-compensating cap bracket (sold separately) on the slotted hard hat or safety helmet.
- Attach the window. Snap the clear window onto the bracket using the LeverLock hole pattern.
- Wear primary protection. Put on safety glasses or goggles under the shield.
- Deploy. Lower the window into the working position for the task.
- Stow. Raise the window above the head when not in use.
Inspection and Retirement
Inspect before each use. Remove the window from service if any of the conditions below apply.
- Window: cracks, deep scratches, pitting, or crazing that impairs vision.
- Heat damage: warping or clouding caused by high-temperature exposure.
- Chin protector: cracks, distortion, or separation.
- LeverLock pattern: worn or damaged attachment points that will not lock.
- Markings: Standards markings must remain legible.
Retirement triggers: any forcible impact, any cracked or heat-damaged window, or any attachment that will not securely lock. Replace the window immediately at any sign of damage or degradation.
