If you already own a set of two SSRA1 anchors and a Horizontal Lifeline, this upgrade kit gives you two additional SSRA1 anchors plus two SSRA3 Anchor Plates with D-Rings. This is everything you need to provide a temporary Horizontal Lifeline on a 22 ga. or 24 ga. steel standing seam roof.
Kit Includes:
- Two Standing Seam Roof Anchors (SSRA1)
- Two Anchor Plates (SSRA3)

SSRA1 Compatibility Overview
The Panel Compatibility Chart is provided only as a reference for what the SSRA1 will physically mount to. This list makes no determination as to the structural integrity of any roof system or seam. It is the Competent Person's ultimate responsibility to determine that a roof system and seam are structurally capable of withstanding an impact in the event of a fall. The SSRA1 Standing Seam Roof Anchor fits over 95% of today's standing seam panels. It is tested and approved for use only on 24-gauge and 22-gauge steel. It is not compatible with aluminum, zinc, copper, or other soft metals. Do not install on curved, tapered, or batten-cap profiles.
Nailstrip Panel Warning
Nailstrip-style panels are a hit-or-miss proposition (roughly 50% compatibility) because some seams are too wide at the base, which can cause the anchor to slide upward during installation. A detailed compatibility list is available, but panel dimensions vary between roll formers and manufacturers, so treat it as a guideline, not a guarantee.
Installer Responsibility
It's solely up to the installer or specifier to confirm that the SSRA1 is suitable for the specific panel and application.
Test Fit Recommendation
To avoid delays or surprises, perform a test fit with an RCT seam clamp or SSRA1 anchor well before the scheduled install. Test-fitting the SSRA products helps confirm proper fitment with your exact panel profile. It's solely up to the installer or specifier to verify that the SSRA1 is suitable for the specific panel and application.
Set-Screw Options
- Cupped-tip: 22 gauge steel panels, torque to 90 in-lbs
- Nylon-tip: 22/24 gauge steel panels, torque to 180–200 in-lbs
Surface Impact
As with all seam anchors, both screw types will create a small dimple in the seam to ensure a secure, non-slip connection. Minor paint abrasion may occur on coated panels. The installer can easily touch up scratches with a matching paint pen.
